Mobile Home Owner - Alert Called

Do you own your own Mobile Home and rent in a Park? Did you know you live month to month at the mercy of the park owners? Does your rent get raised and raised and raised? What can you do to protect youself from becoming homeless?

If you are reading this article you are the owner of a Mobile Home and rent in a Mobile Home Park. You are at the mercy of the park owner. At the owners whim - you and your families rent could be raised so high that you will literally be booted out into the street.

The park owner will not blink and eye or shed a tear while you are standing on a corner in dirty, torn clothing with a can in your hand begging for money.

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

When there is no rent control implemented - this happens everyday over and over again.

In a senior park where the Mobile Home Owners are living for the most part on a fixed income what do you do when the mail box roars in with a letter from the owner reading, its time to feed me again?" In other words your rent is being raised. Pay up or shut up and move.

In most cases this means less food for the senior, no medicine because the rent comes first and foremost.

Do you know how much it costs to move your mobile home? Too much - more money than most of us have laying around in our bank account. The only recourse is to move away from your home which you have lived in for years. This was your home- your security - and where all your money was tied up. Now it is gone. Vanished forever.

Mobile Home Owners that live in Senior or Family Parks, we need to do something before it happens to you and me. It's already happened over and over again.

Now what happens when our home is literally stolen right from under our noses. Some of us land on the street homeless - and some who are lucky can migrate to living with family.

WARNING: WARNING: WARNING:

The "Protect Our Homes Act" (POHA) will be on the November 7, 2006 ballot. WE DO NOT WANT THIS TO WIN. Yet they have already have accumulated over 1 million signatures.

If the (POHA) wins RENT CONTROL gets flushed down the toilet.

We must act and act fast call, write, fax, your local and state representatives before it is too late.
