Make Your Workout More Effective - Simply By Changing When You Work Out

Who would have thought that you can quickly and easily make your workout more effective, simply by changing when you work out? If you are trying to lose some weight, getting some exercise each week (preferably about 30 minutes a day) will go a long way towards reaching your goal. Here are three great reasons why you should work out in the morning.

You are more likely to stick to your workout
You know how it goes. You start your day with the best intentions to go to the gym after work. Then your day gets stressful, you end up working late at the office and by the time you get home, all you want to do is flop down in front of the couch.

It is much easier to stick to your workout plan if you hit the gym or go for a run in the morning. It's also a great way to start your day. You feel energized for the rest of the day after some exercise in the morning.

You'll burn more fat by working out in the morning
By moving your workout to the morning you will actually burn more fat during your workout. Just make sure you work out before eating anything in the morning. Your body will have spent all night digesting and using up the readily available carbohydrates and sugars from dinner. If you start working out now, your body has no choice but to burn stored body fat to keep you moving.

You'll feel better overall
Exercising in the morning is much more effective at getting yourself in a better mood than exercising later in the day according to a recent Scottish study. During the study by researchers from the University of Glasgow, one group of women took an aerobics class in the morning, while the second group took the same class in the evening. The group that worked out in the morning reported a 50% boost in their feeling of wellbeing, while the evening group reported only a 20% increase.

Give it a try. Get up and get moving in the morning and see if you don't start feeling better and notice the inches melting off your waist.
