Bath are popular and well supported rugby team who compete in the Guinness Premiership which is the highest league in the English RFU. They were founded in 1865, making them one of the oldest rugby teams in history.

The Bath home ground is the Recreation Ground which although isn't one of the bigger arenas in the world of rugby, still provides are great atmosphere for home games. However, league rules mean that Bath will either have to extend or move grounds to comply with regulations.

Bath were one of the most successful clubs in the 1990s, picking up the Heineken Cup and the Zurich Premiership and always competing high up for the major honours. Unfortunately, they haven't managed to replicate that success in recent times, falling behind clubs such as Leicester and Wasps in the domestic honours stakes.

Famous players from Bath's history include Jason Robinson, Henry Paul and Jeremy Guscott and today, they still boast many international players representing some of the best rugby nations, including of course, England.

The Bath rugby shirts are mainly black with blue trim with an all white change strip. As Bath are such an old club with a rich tradition, these colours have never been altered and its likely that they never will be.

Bath also has a dedicated supporters group who regularly hold meetings and influence the direction and decision making of the club. Since turning professional, this supporters group have continued to have close links with the club. Hopefully, over the coming years these dedicated fans will be rewarded with some silverware.
